Last year I competed at the IFBB North American and it was my first national bodybuilding show. Wide eyed and clueless as to what the outcome was going to be, I still managed to put my best foot forward.

After reading my critiques last year I made some changes and came to this year’s IFBB North American confident and prepared. It was a long four months of dieting and training, and though I still placed 6th again this time, I was a force to be reckon with! It’s a great feeling when strangers from the audience walk up to you after the show and state that you should have been placed higher.

Disappointments only equate to bigger, leaner and harder comebacks. I won’t be denied in 2012. Make no excuses only improvement.

I’m one day from stepping on stage for the first body building show I will be competing in this year. Next stop, the nationals (which one or two will depend on time and money). Aside from that, I have to say I am looking forward to my second year competing. It’s been a learning experience and schools not over. In fact, classes are about to get even harder but I welcome the challenge. Body building is a one person sport or exhibition, however it takes a team and the support of family and friends to get you through. I am blessed that I have great friends and the support of those that admire the discipline of what we do… but I am still getting into place my team. That will come in time. My goals are simple, top 5 top 3 and pro card - what do u think… or I may have to switch over to the new category, UGH! Just shoot me why don’t you!!!!!!

What’s CRACKING?… Other than my whip and your neck…

I decided to give female body building another try and to compete again. With that said comes the process of making mistakes and learning from those mistakes. With that comes failure, and from those failures one can achieve success. I still don’t know how far, or how long, I will pursue FBB. Hell, that is if it’s even around long enough for me to pursue. In the mean time I will give it another try this year and let’s see what the outcome is…

There are not many shows that showcase top female bodybuilders which is a shame. Last year I had the pleasure of attending the Olympia - WOW! This year I will be attending the Arnold Fitness Expo, which in my opinion is the “who’s who” of fitness. Talk about a muscle lover’s dream! As I’m finding out there are many other promising events that take place such as power lifting (which I can actually say I know a few people participating in that). There is also the MMA Fitness Expo, you know my ass is going to be over in that area front and center. There is also a few strong man events so that will be interesting as well, such as BJJ and I think Grapplers Quest. Those are just a few of the events, as well as whatever body building show that I care to zone in on.

However, this is also a time for me to step back and enjoy. It’s a time when fitness enthusiasts come forth to show support. OK, who am I kidding, watching all the man candy walking around will be AWESOME too! Also I will be at the Muscle Pin Ups booth with Denise Masino and few other hot muscled gals showcasing our stuff. I will also be swinging by the Fit Treasures booth (how fitting, right?) and any other booth I can flex, pose, and snap a picture in. So am I Arnold ready? You tell me…

Well directly after my North American Body Building Show I hightailed it over to Chicago to shoot with the infamous Tony from OAMG. Wow, talk about off the chain. I know your thinking ‘what’s the big deal’… right?

Yes, I have shot with other photographers that shoot body building and you can see their style a mile away, such as Ebony Muscle, She Muscle, Tom Nine and the daddy of them all Bill Dobbins. So, what made this shoot different? Well it was a lot of the same FLEX, POSE, SHOOT, but it was the glamor and edginess he captured, and the fact that there are two photographers capturing your every move. In short, WOW, you won’t miss a beat!

Talk about being inspired, HOLY SHIT! I am truly inspired to become like any of these women that took center stage at the Olympia Bodybuilding Competition, but since I am not there yet I can dream (just like the rest of you muscle schmo’s - that’s right, you heard me).

The Olympia was fun but LORD talk about a touchy bunch of muscle enthusiast, walking around looking for anything that remotely looks like a bicep, ready to be pounced upon with their camera… talk about the object of one’s affection. I took so many photos with people I had no idea who they were, but as I strutted my sexy ass around the venue, I began to see people I knew… well sort of… can you say FACEBOOK!?! So much for being incognito, right.

In any event I had a blast. I met Anton a furry little midget that I nicked named Gremlin, who turned out to be a pocket size handful and loads of fun, watched my girl Dominic Danger tap some BITCHES out during the Grapplers Quest, and as you already know from my previous post, I also met up with the incredibly sexy Denise Masino!

Well this trip was a DISASTER! Nothing that I planned (and lord knows I am a planner) went right. But shit happens. Oh well, at least I was able to shoot with Tom Nine (if you haven’t heard of him don’t worry - no offense Tom), but if you have then you know he shoots just about anyone with muscles. His style of shooting is not one that I’d jump on board for, but the work is decent and it has a realness (is that a word) to it. Not a real frills kind of guy, he’s all about the muscle. Can you blame him? Though I’m not very fond of shooting outdoors - can u say BAD HAIR DAY - the weather in Florida wasn’t too bad and the shoot went fairly well… so I am looking forward to reviewing the final photo and video shoots (can somebody hear me?). Will be back in Florida in January sometime to shoot with Monica Martin, I met her during my visit and this woman looks HOT…

George Clooney where you at? OK, I didn’t get my hands on good old George but I was sure in his neighborhood. While on my European tour I stopped off at an IFBB show in Como and had a blast. One I was surprised at the dynamics that took place. The European figure and the American figure are as different as night and day. I mean I was like CHRIST, why is the USA not with the program… let me stop anyhow I stopped by the show and of course just about every muscle “you know what you are” was there with his trusty camera ready to take a photo. LOL they didn’t even care who you are… its like one, two FLEX and that’s just what I did.
